This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated leadership team, supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries to regain independence and improve their quality of life. You'll play a key role in the daily operations of a dynamic residential rehabilitation service, while supporting the development and well-being of your team.
The Role:
As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the Service Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, quality care delivery, and compliance with CQC standards. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where leadership, initiative, and compassion are key.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing hands-on management support to staff, promoting best practices and positive attitudes
- Line managing team members (including Team Leaders), conducting supervisions, appraisals, and performance management
- Supporting staff rotas, recruitment processes, and induction of new team members
- Overseeing support plans and ensuring person-centred care is delivered to every individual
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, family members, local authorities, and external stakeholders
- Assisting with budget monitoring, resource allocation, and operational planning
- Participating in the on-call rota (approx. one week per month)
- Helping maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensuring the service meets high-quality outcomes
About You:
This role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their care leadership journey. You’ll need:
- QCF/NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- Experience in the social care or rehabilitation sector (brain injury/complex needs preferred)
- Good understanding of CQC regulations and service compliance
- Experience supervising or guiding junior staff
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to occasionally work evenings/weekends or respond to service needs
- A positive, person-centred approach and genuine passion for empowering others
