This role is your chance to make a significant impact in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing top-tier care and rehabilitation.

Why This Role?

  • Competitive Salary: Up to £63,250 per annum, dependent on experience.

  • Location: York, in a modern, purpose-built facility.

About the Role:

As Hospital Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering outstanding care to individuals with acquired brain injuries. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that the highest quality of care is provided, tailored to the specific needs of each individual. This is a leadership role that requires strategic oversight, operational excellence, and a deep commitment to compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Provide professional leadership and hands-on support to the senior management team and clinical staff. Drive the team towards achieving the organisation's strategic goals.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the effective management of all hospital operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and legislation. Implement and monitor budgets, and manage financial performance.
  • Business Development: Develop and execute an annual business plan to enhance hospital services and create new business opportunities. Market the hospital to potential commissioners and referrers.
  • Staff Development: Lead the recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing support of staff, fostering a culture of high performance and adherence to the charity’s core values.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the health, welfare, and safeguarding needs of all individuals are met. Lead the review process, ensuring timely and professional reporting.
  • On-Call Leadership: Manage on-call systems, providing out-of-hours support to ensure seamless operations.

About You:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Registered Manager with a clinical team management background. A clinical qualification or live nurse PIN is desirable but not essential.
  • Qualifications: QCF (NVQ) Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of statutory requirements, legislation, and what constitutes high-quality residential services.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage teams, including clinicians, to achieve positive outcomes. Experience in managing budgets and prioritising workload to meet deadlines.

  • Health Benefits: Private medical insurance and access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Perks: Discounted shopping benefits through Perkbox, long service awards, and access to the Blue Light Card for discounts.
