About the Role
As a Deputy Ward Manager, you’ll provide essential nursing leadership, supporting the Ward Manager in overseeing the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. You'll be instrumental in maintaining clinical standards, guiding the nursing team, and enhancing the overall quality of care on the ward. Your leadership and expertise will empower your team and ensure that each patient receives individualized, holistic care tailored to their specific needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership on the ward, supporting the nursing team to deliver excellent clinical care.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including close coordination with the site Consultant Psychiatrist, to deliver a comprehensive approach to patient rehabilitation.
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and ensure high standards of care.
- Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement projects on the ward, enhancing patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
About You
- Active Registration with the NMC
- Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development and intent to maintain and develop Continued professional development and leadership
- Highly developed communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Experience in Mental Health services
- At least 3 years, or equivalent experience post-registration
