Urgent Care Practitioner

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Urgent Care Practitioner to join our Client's Walk-In Centre in Leeds.

As an Urgent Care Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality primary care services to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced clinical assessments and diagnosis for patients attending the Walk-In Centre;
• Independently manage and treat patients with acute and chronic illnesses within your scope of practice;
• Prescribe medication and refer patients for further investigations or specialist consultations as required;
• Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication;
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and empathetic approach in dealing with patients and their families;
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records systems.

Requirements:

• Registered Health Professional with active HCPC/NMC registration and Advance practice qualification (Level 7 in Minor injury/Minor Illness)
• Must be a Prescriber
• See and treat all patient groups
• Proven experience working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in a primary care or Walk-In Centre setting
• Sound clinical knowledge and ability to work autonomously
• Excellent assessment and diagnostic skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and make effective decisions in fast-paced environments
