The Role:


The Specialist Occupational Therapist will be an integral part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, working within a neurobehavioral model to deliver person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation. The position is based in a unique community-based inpatient setting, led by a consultant neuropsychologist with a psychological approach. Service users may present with complex and challenging needs, including cognitive, behavioural, physical, and emotional difficulties following brain injury.


The role provides the opportunity to work holistically with service users, supporting them in regaining maximum independence and participating in social, leisure, and vocational activities. The successful candidate will have access to specialist training, supervision through the Clinical Lead OT, and development opportunities. They will also be encouraged to participate in service development and research.


About the Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A diploma or degree in occupational therapy and registration with the HCPC.
  • Experience in neurological rehabilitation, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong skills in prioritising and managing a complex caseload.
  • Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
  • The capability to formulate complex risk assessments.
  • Experience in supervising and training others.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
