About the Role
Join a leading UK charity dedicated to providing specialist neurorehabilitation services for individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI). We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to become an integral part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) focused on empowering individuals to regain independence and achieve their personal goals. As an Occupational Therapist with us, you’ll work in a collaborative, supportive environment where your expertise will have a direct impact on the lives of those we serve. Your role will be essential in helping our clients regain vital skills and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Practice:
- Deliver personalized occupational therapy interventions based on a neurobehavioral framework.
- Manage a diverse caseload, supporting individuals with complex needs under the guidance of senior therapists.
- Utilize evidence-based, person-centered approaches to help clients achieve independence in daily activities such as self-care, work, education, and leisure.
- Work closely with internal teams, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic, tailored care for each client.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Mentor and support rehabilitation support workers and therapy assistants, fostering their professional development.
- Effectively manage your caseload, ensuring high-quality service delivery while contributing to ongoing service improvements.
- Safety & Risk Management:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide clear communication to ensure the safety and well-being of those in your care.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Experience:
- Experience in neurorehabilitation is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy assessments and interventions is a must.
- Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
